A place where innovation meets passion, design meets craft, and our journey as a brand collides with our biggest fans.
NTORQ Call of Design is a collaboration that celebrates the spirit of innovation and design. Where we, as Team TVS Ntorq, join our hands with students of design to collaborate, co-create and build our vision of Ntorq together.
Following the huge success of Call of Design Season I and the engagement with the Ntorqians, we officially kickstarted the 2nd edition of Call of Design in the month of August 2020. The pandemic was a time that made us yearn for something even bigger to focus on and keep our spirits up. The theme was therefore even more imaginative. Named SUPER NTORQ, we called in entries to create a modified design of Ntorq to win the fight against an alien race trying to invade earth.
The mission being to create a narrative of positive motivation, empowering the youth of the nation to roll up their sleeves and make an impact hands-on. Our belief being that now more than ever, we need to rethink and change old ways. And what better way to get through difficult times together as the tribe of Ntorqians!
We will be delighted if you can show your support for the participants by following our page. And to take a field trip as you witness these top 15 contestants present their version of the SUPER NTORQ, keep watching this space! Having recorded sales of over 1 lakh within six months of the launch of NTORQ, the team was keen on connecting with the growing tribe in an unprecedented way – by collaborating with students of design to shape the future of the brand.
In a first of its kind design competition the call of design event was floated in February 2019. What followed created history for us and the participants. Over 20 design institutes from all over India participated and students from some prestigious design universities and key media presented their renditions of TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition via virtual presentations.
Making some unexpected fans during its run, we saw Pratap Bose (VP, global design at Tata motors), a well-known name in the automobile industry, hailing the contest as an 'excellent initiative' by retweeting the NDTV C&B tweet. Aravind KP, the Dakar champion, was mesmerised with the contestants rendition of the Sherco TVS rally factory team's Dakar machine on to the TVS Ntorq 125. He attended the event to experience the scooter first-hand, thus creating tremendous air cover for the same by posting on his social channels.
