Yes, your TVS Orbiter can be driven in rain and its LCD is rain-resistant. However, we suggest you carry a raincoat for yourself.
Yes, your TVS Orbiter can be washed at a regular water washing station. However, do not direct the water stream at areas like the charging port, the bag hook area or the underneath the seat regularly. We recommend washing to be done at the authorised workshop only.
No, the Orbiter comes with a fixed, pre-installed SIM from the factory.
Yes, you can ride the Orbiter in stagnant water up to a depth of six inches or 150 mm, with all safety precautions taken for the rider. You can be rest assured that all key components below the floorboard are IP67 rated and will not be affected. We recommend you watch out for potholes though.
The TVS Orbiter comes with two variant options catering to wide variety of our customers’ needs. The TVS Orbiter 3.1 kWh variant has a top speed of 68 kmph. The TVS Orbiter 1.8 kWh also has a top speed of 68 kmph. Hence, you will not be able to lower the top speed.
"Here are a few tips to get the best performance out of your TVS Orbiter:
  • Do not hold brakes while riding. Though it is a common practice among scooter riders to hold the rear brakes ever so slightly while riding, it should be avoided as it reduces the life of your brakes and consumes extra energy in the process, thus reducing your efficiency.
  • Rapid acceleration and riding at high speeds also uses up your battery faster.
  • Maintain the recommended tyre pressure and check periodically (refer to the owner’s manual for correct tyre pressures for your vehicle). If they are under-inflated, their rolling resistance increases as a result, more energy is consumed to move your scooter."
The motor used is an energy efficient low noise BLDC hub motor with 2.5 kW peak power and has been put through rigorous tests in the harshest weather and road conditions.
The TVS Orbiter has a gradeability of 7 degrees with upto 150 kg payload, which makes it easy to ride over inclined roads.
Your TVS Orbiter comes with a 3-year warranty*, which includes the battery, controller, charger and the motor. Damage caused due to poor maintenance, external factors and negligent use, however, are not covered. Please refer to the terms and conditions listed under Warranty Information in your owner’s manual for further clarification.
Your TVS Orbiter is equipped advanced safety features. In case of high ambient temperatures and/ or operating the scooter with heavy loads, the TVS Orbiter is designed to optimize operating temperatures to maintain utmost safety, which may result in a slight change of performance along with an alert notification on the dashboard.
Yes, you will receive an anti-theft alert notification on your smartphone, depending on your network status, in case your TVS Orbiter is dragged while it is locked. You can also access the ‘Live Vehicle Tracking’ feature on the TVS SmartXonnect app to know the exact location of your scooter at any given time.
Your smartphone will be connected to the vehicle through the mobile app. This can be downloaded by scanning the QR code provided in the user manual or links on the website.
No, your connected scooter experience won’t be hampered if you choose to change your mobile number. You must request the change of registered mobile number by contacting your Relationship Manager to process it successfully.
Yes, it is possible to connect as a secondary user, provided he has the necessary information regarding the vehicle and mobile app connectivity.
Subscription plans are packaged offerings of services and features that enhance the overall ride experience and vehicle ownership for customers. Currently, the offerings for TVS Orbiter V1 & V2 models are included in your vehicle pricing and you do not have to pay extra to avail the services.

TVS Orbiter 3.1 kWh: It takes approximately 4 hours 10 mins to charge from 0 – 80% with 650 W charger.

TVS Orbiter 1.8 kWh: It takes approximately 2 hours 20 mins to charge from 0 – 80% with 650 W charger."

It takes around 3.1 kWh of electricity to fully charge TVS Orbiter V2 and 1.8 kWh electricity to fully charge TVS Orbiter V1. This is equivalent to 3.1 & 1.8 units of electricity respectively for V2 & V1. Assuming the cost of electricity to be ₹ 7, it would cost you just ₹ 21.70 for charging your TVS Orbiter V2 and ₹ 12.6 for charging your Orbiter V1 from 0% to 100%.
Fast charging impacts the lifespan of Li-ion batteries and as of now TVS Orbiter does not support fast charging. We are continuously working on fast charging technology that has the least impact on battery life and would bring it to market at the earliest.
The TVS Orbiter comes with a 650W plug-and-play portable charger that can be used to charge a vehicle at any standard 15 A domestic socket.
Your TVS Orbiter comes with a standard 650 W charger that can plug into a 15 A household socket and does not require a separate line or meter to function. In case your designated parking spot is far away from your residence, you may need to arrange for a separate connection.
The TVS Orbiter’s charging socket only consumes nominal energy – less than a night lamp - in standby mode.
The cluster will show the battery status as 100% and switch off after a delay once fully charged. The registered mobile app, depending on your subscription plan, will show the live battery charging status as 100%.
No, there is no risk to your TVS Orbiter as it comes equipped with a smart battery management system which prevents overcharging. However, it is always advisable to switch off and unplug the charger once the battery is fully charged.
The charger itself has a cooling fan built in, which cuts in and out depending on the operating temperature. Apart from the fan noise from the 650 W off-board charger for the Orbiter variants, the charger emits no other noise.
No, it is advised to use TVS provided chargers only to charge your Orbiter for better performance and longer life of the battery. Usage of chargers not supplied or recommended by TVS will result in loss of warranty for your Orbiter.
The IDC certified range for TVS Orbiter V2 is 158 Km and that for TVS Orbiter V1 is 86 km. However, actual range may vary based on riding style, road conditions, and load.
TVS Orbiter comes with an advanced system that adapts the DTE – Distance to Empty – prediction as per your riding style to provide the most accurate instantaneous range. This will help you plan your rides and charging sessions better. In case you have to go for an unplanned extra mile you can recharge your TVS Orbiter at any of the charging stations appearing on the app. We are continuously trying to bring information about as many charging stations on TVS SmartXonnect App to give you maximum options to recharge your scooter. The plug-and-play portable offboard charger makes it easy to carry and can be used at any 15 A domestic socket, making it convenient to use in every situation.
Absolutely. The TVS Orbiter has the lowest discharge rate of any electric scooter, in the category. It loses only about 2% charge for 10 days of non—operation. That means, even if you took a month-long vacation, your scooter would’ve only dropped by roughly 6% of charge when you got back. For best results, ensure you leave your TVS Orbiter with at least 50% charge.
In terms of IDC range, TVS Orbiter V2 3.1 kWh has maximum range of 158 km per charge, TVS Orbiter V1 1.8 kWh can reach upto 86 km per charge (*Eco Mode with Solo rider and under standard testing conditions)
With the key-off condition, the battery will discharge roughly by 2% in 10 days. Kindly ensure to charge your TVS Orbiter once every 15 days.
The battery is protected by an aluminium casing to rule out physical damage. Also, the BMS regulates temperature and ensures optimum performance. Be rest assured our battery packs comply with the latest Government norms.
TVS Orbiter uses the best Lithium-ion battery technology and our battery life is designed to be the same or more than the lifetime of the scooter. However, battery attenuation of 20-30% can be expected around 60,000 - 70,000 km. This can vary based on multiple factors like ambient temperature, riding pattern and so on.

The carry-along charger has an inbuilt voltage fluctuation protection. It is always recommended to use a TVS recommended charger to maintain your warranty status.

Yes, you will need a valid two-wheeler driver's license to ride the TVS Orbiter. Both Orbiter V1 & V2 variants has a speed of 68 km/h, which is above the 25 km/h cap for registration and license. Thus, registration and two-wheeler driving license is compulsory.

The first service of your TVS Orbiter is scheduled after 6 months from the date of purchase or 4000 km of riding, whichever is earlier. The following periodic maintenance are scheduled at 4000km or 1year intervals from (whichever is completed earlier) previous service.
TVS Orbiter comes only with paid service options. However, the services are few and far between compared to petrol scooters.
TVS Orbiter being an electric scooter, requires minimum consumables during service. Depending on the maintenance schedule or the amount of wear on the parts, replacements may be required. Parts will be charged as per cost and labour charges for the service provided will be added to your service invoice.
Our roadside assistance will get you in 90 minutes in Urban areas, 120 minutes in Sub-urban areas and 180 minutes in Hilly terrain, but traffic and weather limitations are factors beyond our control, which can impact the time. As a limited offering the 1st year of roadside assistance is included with the purchase of your TVS Orbiter. Post expiry you may reach out to your relationship manager or nearest Orbiter dealer to renew the same.

This covers the replacement or repair of the parts listed in DMS Invoice due to any manufacturing defect, at the sole discretion of the manufacturer, as per terms and conditions mentioned in your owner's manual, policy document and T&C at the time of booking the vehicle. The extended warranty coverage will start after the expiration of manufacturer's warranty.
The battery extended warranty will extend the warranty coverage on the battery packs against manufacturing defects, on expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty period by the duration and running specified in the policy; provided the vehicle is maintained as per schedule mentioned in your vehicles Owner’s Manual.
Damages occurring out of but not limited to accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, theft, tampering, cosmetic damages due to any natural wear and tear, including without limitation. Damages occurring out of natural calamities like flood, earthquake, tsunami, storm etc.

  • To check the Status of their cashback claim, users can login into the TVS SmartXonnect App -> Go to the side menu -> Click on “Rewards” -> A screen appears which shows the user the Status of their cashback claim.
  • You will also receive a SMS Communication regarding the status of their cashback claim. Scenario-: If the Bank account details submitted by the user is incorrect, you will receive an SMS and will have to go to the Rewards section on the TVS SmartXonnect App and add the bank details again.
If you are eligible for cashback, a rewards card will be enabled in the Rewards Section which can be found in the side menu of the TVS SmartXonnect App.
  • Customers can track the status of their cashback payments using the steps mentioned below:
  • Click on the side-menu of the TVS SmartXonnect App
  • Select “Rewards”
  • A screen will be displayed where the user can check the status of their cashback claim. There are 3 statuses visible to the user namely:
    • Status-1: If the Status is “Reward under process”, then the users bank account details has been successfully processed and the user will receive the cashback in their selected bank account within 5-7 working days.
    • Status-2: If the Status on the app-screen is displayed as “Bank details are incorrect”, ask the user to click on the “Add Bank Details” CTA. Upon clicking on the CTA, the user will be asked to resubmit their Bank Account Details.
    • Status-3: If the Status on the app-screen is displayed as “Reward Credited Successfully”, then ask the user to check the bank statement of the bank account to check if the cashback that has been deposited in their account.
  • You will receive a SMS Confirmation indicating Success/Failure of the correctness of the bank details submitted by them.
  • In case you receive a SMS about incorrect bank details submitted, you can open the side menu on the TVS SmartXonnect App -> Go to the Loyalty Rewards section and Add the correct bank details again.
If you did not receive the OTP on the Invoice Registered Mobile Number please escalate to Customer Care with details of the VIN, Invoice Number.
The process of onboarding your vehicle on the TVS SmartXonnect App is delinked with the Invoice Mobile number (DMS Mobile Number). Hence a user onboarded with a certain VIN on the TVS SmartXonnect App would be able to see the cashback and claim. The OTP would however come to the mobile number provided by the user on the invoice.
Within 5-7 days of the user submitting the correct bank account details, you will receive the cashback. You will receive the cashback in the bank account of which you have submitted details on the TVS SmartXonnect App.
Once the full payment is completed, the invoice will be immediately sent to your registered email ID. If the payment is made at a dealership, a hard copy will also be provided on the spot.
