Yes, your TVS Orbiter can be washed at a regular water washing station. However, do not direct the water stream at areas like the charging port, the bag hook area or the underneath the seat regularly. We recommend washing to be done at the authorised workshop only.

Yes, you can ride the Orbiter in stagnant water up to a depth of six inches or 150 mm, with all safety precautions taken for the rider. You can be rest assured that all key components below the floorboard are IP67 rated and will not be affected. We recommend you watch out for potholes though.
The TVS Orbiter comes with two variant options catering to wide variety of our customers’ needs. The TVS Orbiter 3.1 kWh variant has a top speed of 68 kmph. The TVS Orbiter 1.8 kWh also has a top speed of 68 kmph. Hence, you will not be able to lower the top speed.
"Here are a few tips to get the best performance out of your TVS Orbiter:
  • Do not hold brakes while riding. Though it is a common practice among scooter riders to hold the rear brakes ever so slightly while riding, it should be avoided as it reduces the life of your brakes and consumes extra energy in the process, thus reducing your efficiency.
  • Rapid acceleration and riding at high speeds also uses up your battery faster.
  • Maintain the recommended tyre pressure and check periodically (refer to the owner’s manual for correct tyre pressures for your vehicle). If they are under-inflated, their rolling resistance increases as a result, more energy is consumed to move your scooter."
The motor used is an energy efficient low noise BLDC hub motor with 2.5 kW peak power and has been put through rigorous tests in the harshest weather and road conditions.
The TVS Orbiter has a gradeability of 7 degrees with upto 150 kg payload, which makes it easy to ride over inclined roads.
Your TVS Orbiter comes with a 3-year warranty*, which includes the battery, controller, charger and the motor. Damage caused due to poor maintenance, external factors and negligent use, however, are not covered. Please refer to the terms and conditions listed under Warranty Information in your owner’s manual for further clarification.
Your TVS Orbiter is equipped advanced safety features. For best results, ensure you leave your TVS Orbiter with at least 50% charge.

TVSM Green Initiative is a program which allows the TVS Motor Company (hereinafter TVSM or Company) to collect the emission reductions from all electric vehicles (EVs) sold by the Company into a single pool. The total reduction in greenhouse gas emissions achieved by these vehicles is measured and verified in order to generate Verified Carbon Units (VCUs).
A Verified Carbon Unit (VCU) is a type of carbon credit awarded for every one tonne of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions reduced or removed by a verified project. VCUs are issued under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), which is managed by Verra, a leading global carbon standards provider. You can read more at https://verra.org/programs/verified-carbon-standard/verified-carbon-units-vcus/
Yes. The entire process follows the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), an internationally recognized framework, ensuring compliance with rigorous environmental and social guidelines.
By operating an electric vehicle (EV) instead of a conventional fossil fuel powered vehicle, you are effectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions to the environment. This emissions reduction can be quantified and converted into VCUs under the VCS.
Emission reductions are calculated by comparing the emissions by EVs during use to the estimated emissions from comparable internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles for similar operations/use. These calculations are based on established methodologies and are independently validated and verified.
All issued and retired VCUs are publicly recorded on the Verra Registry, providing transparency about carbon credits generated from our pooled emission reductions program.
The calculation of your individual contribution of VCUs will be based on factors such as your EV model, kms operated, and the specific methodologies of the registry in which the program is registered.
The VCUs generated from your vehicle’s contribution are pooled with those from other vehicles and can be used by the Company for any lawful purpose. While these cannot be individually assigned to owners, they help accelerate carbon neutrality goals and can support further climate action programs.
The VCUs generated by the operations of the EVs sold by the Company can be utilized for various purposes, such as offsetting emissions from other parts of TVSM operations or investing in further sustainability initiatives. These VCUs further strengthens TVSM’s commitment towards (but not limited to):
  • Investing in expanding EV infrastructure
  • Continuing developing new electric vehicle technologies
  • Supporting our overall sustainability goals
  • Maintaining competitive vehicle pricing
The program helps (but not limited to):
  • Accelerate EV adoption through continued investment in technology
  • Make EV accessible to masses through competitive vehicle pricing
  • Support expansion of EV infrastructure
  • Enable environment sustainability projects at company and community level
Registry rules require that only organizations and projects, not individual vehicle owners, may be holders of VCUs. Even companies or organizations are not authorized to hold VCUs on behalf of individuals. This ensures proper tracking, integrity, and regulatory compliance in the carbon market.
