Ever since it was unveiled, TVS Sport has always possessed the first-mover advantage in the segment in terms of the features it offers. Till 2007, the commuter segment just had the bare-minimum offering, a basic design language and negligible features be they aesthetic or practical. However, TVS Sport took this segment to a whole new level while offering ‘Behtareen Mileage’. Ahead In the Game
TVS Sport is the first motorcycle at launch to feature an “Econometer” which is an economy riding indicator in the instrument cluster. It helps to alter the riding style for attaining optimum fuel efficiency.
In terms of dimensions and ergonomics, the length of the bike is 1950 mm, the overall height is 1080 mm, and the saddle height is 790 mm which makes it an ideal choice for short riders. The ground clearance stays at 175 mm (one of the best in the segment). At a kerb weight of 112* kg, the TVS Sport makes for a very nimble and effortless machine to handle. Also, the electric start system now lets you start the bike in any gear. And thanks to a well-tuned gearbox, the focus is on low-end torque (right from the second gear, the bike picks up gradually from a standstill without any jerk or lag).
When it comes to comfort, the highlight remains the first-in-segment, rear–adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers; the setup is tuned for city use and allows the bike to take on speed breakers and bad sections of the road with ease. The Extra Long Seat is integrated with additional cushioning for an upright sitting posture and adequate comfort during long rides. The bike is offered in 3 new colour variants – All Black, All Gray and All Red.
Coming to the specifications, TVS Sport 110 BS6 is powered by a single-cylinder, ET-Fi 4 stroke, fuel-injected engine that is mated to a 4-speed wet-multi plate type, constant mesh gearbox, producing 6.1kW @7350 and 8.7 Nm @ 4500 rpm of peak power. The bike has great off-the-line acceleration with ample torque in the mid-range for ease of cruising, with a top speed of 90 km/h. As a part of additional safety – TVS Motors have integrated the patented SBT (Synchronized Braking System) for effective braking in all conditions.
Altogether, the new TVS Sport BS6 comes loaded with features and practical elements, yet the key USP of the bike remains its price. Starting at just ₹ 59,681*(ex-showroom), it remains the most affordable highest mileage bike in India.
