TVS Motor Company's total two wheeler sales in July 2005 stood at 1,01,359 units compared to 1,00,224 units, during the same period last year.
The total motorcycle sales in July 2005 stood at 53,215 units compared to 52,958 units in the same period last year. The company will bring out two new variants of motorcycles this quarter, which will enhance its presence in the motorcycle market.
TVS Scooty sales clocked 24,244 units in July 2005 compared to 22,501 units. TVS Scooty brand continues to be the market leader in the Scooterette segment. The brand recently kicked off the first of its kind 'Aagey Badho', an exclusive scholarship programme, for girls between the age of 14 to 18 in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.
Moped sales stood at 23,900 units in July 2005 compared to 24,765 units in the same period last year. The company continues to enjoy market leadership and has performed well compared to the industry.
In the export front, TVS Motor Company recorded an all time high of 9,012 units in July 2005, recording a growth of 102% compared to the same period last year.
