Master cylinder Issue

Hello Apachians, I own a 2004v bs6, and have drove 3700kms in a span of 4month(used as daily commuter). recently during the second service I've changed my front calliper on the suggestion per the technician. Post two weeks of service I've seen that my braking light was ON even after letting of the brake so I thought it was the problem of switch and after close observation I found out there was kind of freeplay in brake lever even after I leave the brake and the freeplay used to vanish off after some time. so when I took it to the service center after a few inspection they said they have to change the whole master cylinder(for bs6 models only because there are spares available for bs4) and also they aren't telling me why they have to change , is the service center making fool out of me?? as it is brand new bike and I have taken only one ride pf 150 km after the second service and also i don't ride it hard I maintain an speed of 60-65km and sometimes I'll increse the rpm so that engine won't sit for the same speed. Also service center clas that they have to order the master cylinder as they don't get this cases. can I get a valid reason why this happened?can I get good tip of Maintenance of braking system?? please help me out with this🙏 literally this is making me question about the build quality of the bike components.
