TVS Motor Company bags two coveted IT awards

SAP ACE 2008 Awards and 2008 Symantec South Asia Visionary Award

TVS Motor Company Limited has won two coveted IT Awards, bagging the SAP ACE 2008 Awards for Customer Excellence and the 2008 Symantec South Asia Visionary Award. While the company won the SAP ACE Award for digitization of New Product Development process in SAP by implementing PLM (Product Life Management), the Symantec South Asia Visionary Award was conferred for the way the company secured and managed systems and information. Eminent juries comprising of well-known industry names adjudged the company on various stringent parameters including use of SAP solutions to enable strategic decision making, SAP as a change agent for business transformation and to manage growth and for their innovative use of Symantec products and services to drive tangible value results
"It is indeed an honour for TVS Motor Company to win the SAP ACE Award for the second consecutive year. PLM helped us to assimilate customer experience and connect it to drawing board and also will help us in systematic introduction of new product by meeting quality, costs and delivery targets. The Symantec Award was also a prestigious achievement for us. TVS Motor Company was chosen out of twenty five participants in South Asia for this award" said T G Dhandapani, Corporate CIO, TVS Motor Company, who received the awards on behalf of the company.

The SAP ACE award recognizes achievement of business excellence through implementations of SAP projects. Approximately 150 organisations participated across India for this award. The award is given to different categories of Industries leveraging SAP to achieve business excellence.

The Symantec Awards recognize companies for their secure and better management of systems and information. The 'Visionary Award' winners for the Asia South region are exemplary models of how organizations can confidently leverage technology to improve their operational efficiency and security and were instituted four years ago.
