What is the Bike Fitness certificate?
A bike fitness certificate (FC) is a legal compliance document issued by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) after a thorough inspection of the vehicle, ensuring the bike is mechanically sound, complies with regulations, and is roadworthy.
For privately owned vehicles, the certificate must be renewed after 15 years from the date of registration. After 15th years, the duration is every 2/5 years, depending on the state RTO rules and vehicle type to remain valid.
