Engine Idle RPM & chain slack

Hello I own a 2020 Apache RTR 200 BS6 (No ride mode) and 1. I have noticed that the engine Idle RPM by default is 2000 RPM. on cold starts it goes upto 2.3K RPM and comes down to 2K. I feel 2K engine RPM on IDLE is too much. I think it affects the chain and sprocket which degrade very quickly. 2. I have done close to 13K kms now and whenever I adjust the chain it doesn't last very long, I have to keep adjusting it . It's causing hard gear shifts and false neutral issues. whenever I ask the service centre guys they say chain and sprocket are done and have to change . How can a one year old bike with 13k kms degrade it's chain so quickly ??
