how to check if ABS is working

Hi. I have purchased RTR 200, 4V, BS6 , dual channel ABS 3 months ago. I have noticed that if I keep pressing the rear brake. gradually it goes down slowly which is not the case with other bikes I observed. at some point brake lever stops going down, but my scenario is completely different & brake lever goes down completely if I don't release the break. checked same during the servicing & staff said that's how ABS works. is it so ? guys please help
