What is TVS Rookie OMC?
The TVS Rookie OMC (One Make Championship) is a dedicated racing category within the broader TVS India One Make Championship, designed for new riders to get the first-hand experience of competitive racing on TVS Apache RTR 200. TVS Racing provides specialized training, high quality safety gear, FIM – certified helmets, airbag jackets, race suits, ensuring a safe environment for learning.
How to Join?
The most crucial element deciding the participation if your age. You must be born between January 1, 2006 and January 1, 2010, if you fit in this age bracket, Rookie OMC is your stage, this category gives every Rookie a chance to roar. Here the step-by-step process to enroll in this category.
● Eligibility – the rider must be between 15 – 21 years old and must possess a Level 1 FMSCI Training School Certificate.
● Registration – do keep an eye on TVS racing website or social media channels for announcement about selection trial.
● Training – it all starts with the trails at designated venues and if selected, a guardian must be present at the selection venue.
● Expert mentorship – once in, the aspiring racer is trained under the watchful eyes of TVS Racing professionals, who sprinkle their wisdom to polish the raw skill into race winning finesse.
● Selection Trials – young aspiring riders participate in selection rounds held in various cities, where their lap time, fitness and racing skills as assessed.
● Post selection training – TVS Racing runs a structured rider development and coaching program under a centralized selection system where a young rider is assessed on various parameters, which post selection go through performance evaluation and intense training.
● Selection outcome – selected riders are further trained to compete in the official TVS India One Make championship season for the Rookie category, where they get a taste of national level racing environment.
TVS Racing Rookie Program, including training and selection primarily takes place at Madras International Circuit (MIC). Yet, TVS Racing organizes training sessions and skill building sessions at Kari Motor speedway, while some of the novice and open categories are held at Buddh International Circuit.

● Women’s OMC – organized for female riders aged 15 to 40, this programs breaks gender barrier in motorsport. It provides competitive opportunities and specialised training exclusively for women, fostering there growth in traditionally male dominated sport.
● YMRP (Young Media Racer Program) –an initiative targeting automotive media professionals and journalists under the age of 30. This program has been instrumental in developing racing talent, with some participants going on to compete in various racing formats.
● RR 310 OMC – dedicated with seasoned riders with prior podium finishes, this platform offers high performance racing on a tuned TVS Apache RR 310. It primarily serves as an arena for top-tier Indian talent, often attracting racers who are on the cusp of, or already involved in national level professional racing.
